Who We Are

Wildscope, LLC is a photography and videography company dedicated to conservation. We specialize in capturing authentic moments that reflect the connection between people and nature. By showcasing wildlife, youth sports, and community events, we aim to foster deeper connections and inspire appreciation for the environment.

Founder: Richard Raymond Thomas Fernandez

My path started in the United States Marine Corps as a technical engineer specialist in land surveying where attention to detail and discipline shaped the way I see the world. After my service I continued working as a field land surveyor before moving into an office role as a map checker for the County of Orange California. Over time my work shifted farther from the field and deeper behind a screen. Wanting more independence I built my own company Precision Mapping focusing on tract maps records of survey boundary research and technical drafting.

While the work was challenging it also kept me indoors and disconnected from what originally drew me to surveying. Outside of the office I found that connection again through wildlife photography and video. Becoming a father deepened that passion especially while watching my son play lacrosse and realizing how meaningful it was to preserve those moments through a lens. A recent retinal tear made extended screen time difficult and became a turning point. At forty eight I am choosing to realign my work with what I love. I am stepping into a new chapter that blends experience precision and storytelling in the outdoors capturing wildlife sports and authentic moments as they unfold.
